Prepare for take off!
Hello Friends!
I have been home now for a couple of days but I have to say that I have been sleeping most of the time! I didn't realize how exhausted I was but my body is almost demanding rest.
I did finish the vest I was knitting and have even started a new knitting project. I just keep thinking how proud Lee would be of me! LOL The pace is very slow here and I have much more time than I had in Texas. Unfortunately, I think I prefer the faster pace of the Kennedy House. There was always more to do than there was time but I actually felt useful and like I was doing something worthwhile.
Now I get to start working on Squeaky's Pals. The videos are ready for some editting and there is always a craft project at the ready! I have to sit down and make some lists. Priorities are a must but I want to enjoy all that I am doing. I will self-pace and hope not to hit many bad pain days.
My husband and I spoke last night about moving to Texas. While he is not excited to do this, he does understand that it really is something that I need to do. Mainly, I need to get to an area where I can get on a liver Transplant Program. I will never feel better if I don't get a transplant and the longer I wait---the lesser my chances of ever getting a liver become. After tears, tough words and open conversation, we agreed that the move was the right thing to do.
We now need to get the house ready for sale and work on getting ready for a move. I hope to be in Texas by the spring! This may be a problem for a Christmas visit for Christmas but I would rather move permanently then visit for a few weeks.
I want to get closer to the vicinity of Squeaky so we can work more closely. I want her to be a part of the rest of my life and I am easier to move than she!
I am also going to start investigating some speaking engagements that might be able to be done from her home via Skype. The inspiration which she personifies is amazing and must be shared with more people. I know she wants to focus in on patient advocacy but her story is too amazing not to get out into this world!
Well, I am going to go start my lists---I can't wait to get started!
Until next time!
Loves,
K
